----==[ The Hook ]==----

Pandash is a roguelite game with a strong emphasis on mastering skills that must be kept in balance.

It consists of different procedual generated zones. The single elements are hand craftet and balanced out to find the best between randomness and fun!

The player walks in this side scroller world as a panda who lost his memories. There are many perks to find and unlock. Currently different enemies roam 2 worlds with 2 bosses.

----==[ The World ]==----

Pandash is a strategic Roguelite that takes the player Ryu on a journey to a world where he receives support from a mysterious ghostly realm. In this Roguelite platformer, the player must traverse various areas to gradually free his world from the unknown threat.

During the game, the player can discover and use various perks to defeat enemies and overcome obstacles. However, these perks are not easy to find and require a lot of skill and strategy to obtain.

Each use of the perks disrupts the balance of the worlds. The current world and the ghostly realm must remain in harmony. If this harmony is disturbed, Ryu's strength falters and he will feel the direct effects. But perhaps there are also ways to take advantage of this imbalance...

The threatened world that Ryu travels through is full of secrets and dangers. The environment changes every time the player begins his journey. Each journey also means new challenges that he must face.

The goal of the game is to restore peace to the world by uncovering and defeating the cause of the threat. The player must constantly improve and strengthen their character to defeat increasingly difficult opponents.

Pandash offers a unique and captivating gaming experience that is suitable for both casual players and Roguelite enthusiasts. The combination of perks and the attempt to keep them in balance, the changing environment, and the search for peace in a threatened world make the game a new experience.

Hi,

I’ve just try your game, good job it’s pretty cool.

I don’t know if it’s really your first game as you said that you’ve made it for learning, if so it’s quite ambitious.

I like the title screen, the key binding option and the fact that recognise both azerty, qwerty keyboard. The animations of the character are really cool, I didn’t expect the look up and meditation animations and it was a good surprise when I found them.

The introduction of the game is pretty neat but need some music I think, same for the tutorial.

Sometimes there is some background element that are in a weird place, like some root up to the air or a fence inside of some rock.

The control are a little difficult to use at first and need time for a better use. A gamepad controller may be a cool option, I don’t know if you plan to add it or not.

I found two empty shop, need to exit them with “Enter” button not “F” or anything else.

When I remember that there is a dash in the game (Yes I’ve forgot it for the first part of the game… With a name like Pandash I forgot the dash I know it’s dumb of me but well…) it become better, but why did I need to fight when I can just rush to the end?

I know that enemies drop money and you may use it later. And there is some strategy point to have some crucial decision like: Did I want to fight in this little arena for some reward? (Risk and reward) And that’s cool, but actually I didn’t find the need to kill enemies or to change perks. I open some perks chest and just leave it to the ground and continue my travel.

Maybe a recycle system for the unwanted perks can be useful and more rewarding toward the player’s decision. And maybe more useful to explore some area. But I think that exploring area (for the first one, I don’t finish the second one now) is not useful. I play the game as a game where I need to find the exit quick and without being touch by enemies.

Some enemies can pass through walls, it’s okay, but sometime when you fall down you can have a bat that you don’t see yet that charging it dash toward you and it can be tricky to avoid.

Your first boss is pretty cool too, easy to read but with a little trick to his hammer, not to hard maybe a little bit easy I will have to fight him a multiple times to be sure.

Oh, I forgot about the graphic part. I really like it!

I may sound a little harsh on some little details but it was a cool experience, I just hope that I can have a better desire of changing perks and maybe upgrade them, explore more but for now the rushing door strategy is the more useful for me.

Thank for the game and good luck !
